Admission pricesPrebooked parties (of 12 or more) are offered a 'touch tour'. This allows group members to get up close to or even literally to get to grips with a variety of animals. For schools, we offer free entrance for teachers (based on recommended supervision rates). All educational groups are offered keeper talks, which can be adapted to suit your educational needs. An experienced guide will emphasise topics such as classification, camouflage etc. as requested. Worksheets and lesson ideas are available on our education blog: http://learnwithwildlifeoasis.wordpress.com The Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is a great venue for kids' birthday parties. For pre-booked parties of at least 10 children we will provide hands-on activities and a full kid's meal in our cafe: either a hot meal or cold buffet. This package costs £8.50 per child; contact the Oasis (see left) for more information. The Oasis is pleased to be able to offer a rare opportunity to be a Keeper for the Day. You will get to care for, feed and interact with exotic animals, and get a taste of what it is like to be a zoo keeper. This would make a fantastic present for any animal enthusiast, and at a fraction of the price of many large zoos. We offer Keeper for the Day experiences, which last from 10.30 - 1.00pm for any age at just £59. Please see our 'Be a Keeper' Page for more information. Other information

Work is continuing at top speed on the extension to the snow leopard enclosure. We had planned to complete it this winter but as Pavan and his new lady love Tara have got on far better than we imagined there may well be the patter of not so tiny paws later this summer - so we need to be prepared.
There have been a number of new arrivals, the most exciting so far are the Madagascan Collared Iguanas, just introduced to our mixed reptile exhibit.
Work is continuing on our waterfall exhibit to prepare for a colony of Rodrigues fruit bats. We are making a roost near to it which we hope they will like using, but, as the new animals will rather un nerved by the strange surroundings, we are erecting a temporary pen to confine them to the spot until they get used to thier new home.
